Morning Moments

Luke 6:45 (KJV)
45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil: for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

Some years ago Gary Smalley reported that women speak twice as much as men. I have thought about that through the years and have concluded that if they indeed do, it is because they have to repeat every for men who do not listen. I call my wife my hearing aid because she often has to tell me later what someone has said. I just sit when someone cannot be understood, nod once in a while and get the scoop later.

Sometimes I am glad I don't hear that well, because we live is a day of gutter language, filthy and indecent talk. We are so sensitive to slang words about minorities, but have not sense of same at using God's name in vain and all the other garbage words that should make us sick when they proceed from our mouths.

I use to get excited when heaving that some celebrity got save but if our text is true, there are some who did not get the saving grace others did, for the grace that brings salvation teaches us to deny ungodliness and worldly lusts and to live sober mindedly, righteously, and godly IN THIS PRESENT WORLD. Think about it.

Jesus said, by your words you shall be justified and by your words you shall be condemned. That is why we MUST confess with our mouth the LORD Jesus and in our heart believe that God has raised Him from the dead.

When I was a child my mother use to sing "Be careful little tongue what you say". We could do with a good dose of that today - AMONG SO-CALLED CHRISTIANS!
