Morning Moments

KJV 1Co 3:16
Every man is the temple of God and the dwelling place of His Spirit 16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

KJV 1Co 3:17
Every man is the temple of God and the dwelling place of His Spirit 17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

KJV 1Co 6:19
The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God 19 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?

KJV 2Co 6:16
He can boldly discuss this with the Corinthians because of his devotion to them 16 And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. [Taken from WordSeach].

This amazing and magnificent structure that God is building is YOU! You ARE the temple of God and the Spirit of God dwells in you as a true follower of Jesus Christ. You are a vessel unto honor; a vessel, cleansed, filled, and prepared for the Master’s use.

This temple, as was the temple of old, is the place of worship. Worship is the focus of the spirit of man upon God and all of His worthiness. God created us uniquely for worship. No other creature has this capacity. The spirit of man is designed as the tabernacle and temple with the outer court – the “soma” – the body of man, the holy place – “the psuche” – the soul, which is the holy place where we as priests experience mentally and emotionally Jesus as the staff of life, the light of life, and the prayerful intercessor. But there is another place, the most sacred of all – “the pneuma” – this is the Most Holy Place of this wonderful temple.

The “pneuma” is where God dwells IN us. Although in the temple only the High Priest could enter, Jesus, our great high priest entered so that we as priests of God may have continual access to the presence of God.

This is an incredible thing that Christ has done! We do not have to go through another, for there is no earthly priest for us. We are the priests and as priests of God possess through the blood of Jesus Christ, have bold access into the very presence of God.

Today, may we allow what goes on in our spirits with God to fill the “holy and acceptable” place of our thoughts and feelings and radiate our bodies that are alive with new life…the LIFE OF JESUS! This is to be the experience of the believer and the body as we meet together. ALIVE WITH GOD who is not only with us, but IN us. Amen.

BLESSINGS!
