Isa. 40:31 But those who wait for the LORD’s help57find renewed strength;
They rise up as if they had eagles’ wings,58
They run without growing weary,
They walk without getting tired.
I have been so tired lately. It seemed my strength was gone. BUT, regardless of how I felt, I KNEW that I am “twisted” as in a rope with my Father, my Savior, and His Spirit. I may appear as a twine, but I am hemp in a rope. Hence, my strength continues to “renew” (grow).
It is very interesting the responses one gets when ill and weak. The super saints often attempt to put you one guilt trip, by saying, “He healed others, let him heal himself.” In other words, “If you are a man of faith, exercise your faith for your own healing.” It’s okay, they mean well, but they have a faith that is not according to knowledge.
Then there are the real saints who blast hell and bless heaven, who are true prayer warriors, intercessors, and who know that these bodies are not yet redeemed. They are mortal, corruptible, and face the same elements as unbelievers. They catch colds – and cancer sometimes, but they do not cast away their confidence. These saints know that the “trying of our faith works patient endurance” and that we shall come forth as gold tried in the fire – pure.
I have prayer for the sick and seen them healed. I have prayed for the sick and have seen them die. My will for me is in neutral, and whatever the Father wants, THAT is what I want. He is the one who “strengthens” us, but we must do as David and encourage ourselves in the LORD. KEEP PRAYING.
BLESSINGS!
