Morning Moments

He is not yet four years old and he is so articulate.  He says the pledge, a daily Bible verse, knows the President and Vice President by names, and on and on.  This kid is brilliant!  He is so respectful, so mannerly, so amazingly smart, and he is just one of six such boys.  One of the others reads on a level far above most high school students (I have taught high school), and is so analytical in his thinking.  Another is so kind and respectful and thoughtful.  Though maybe not as studious, he is practical, with an amazing memory and with a clear understanding of right and wrong.  These are my grandsons, of course:)  All on the verge of genius!:)

I am a mere man; a simple man, but make no mistake about it I AM A GRANDPA!  If I had known I would have had such brilliant and wonderful grandkids, I might have just skipped the kids:) You will only be able to understand this if you are a grandparent.  NOW HEAR THIS!

As much as I love them, there is someone who loves them more.  I know because I am loved the same way.  He knows me best and loves me most.  I do not have to try to impress Him, fit a mold for Him, be what I am not before Him; I am HIS son, and the object of His affection.  In His eyes I am just perfect.  He did not jump down my throat when I came home from the pig parlor.  He has not thrown up to me all that I did that hurt Him.  He just loves me, and NOTHING can separate me from His love.  NOTHING!  Perhaps the most amazing thing to me is that He put it in me to love back with that same quality of love.  WOW!  By the way, He also feels that way about you.  Now isn't that enough to make us want to please Him?

PRAYER:  Father dear, I can think of all kinds of reasons why you should not feel for me as you do, but why should I waste my time and yours with that kind of foolishness.  I cannot get past the fact that you now reside in me!  How amazing!  As much as I love our children and grandchildren, you love them more and you love me that way too.  THANK YOU!
