Morning Moments

WHEN GOD SPEAKS

And the Lord said furthermore unto him, Put now thine hand into thy bosom. And he put his hand into his bosom: and when he took it out, behold, his hand was leprous as snow. 7 And he said, Put thine hand into thy bosom again. And he put his hand into his bosom again; and plucked it out of his bosom, and, behold, it was turned again as his other flesh. 8 And it shall come to pass, if they will not believe thee, neither hearken to the voice of the first sign, that they will believe the voice of the latter sign.

God spoke to Moses face to face and through Moses to the people.  HOW He speaks, as Aaron and Miriam learned, is important, but more important than that is WHAT God says.  And what God says is to be OBEYED, whether one understands it or not, likes it or not, or even accepts the instrument God uses to say it.

I am not talking about someone who says, "God told me to tell you."  We must always be skeptical of those folks.  I am referring to the DIVINE REVELATION that came by DIVINE INSPIRATION, and is ours today through DIVINE PRESERVATION...The Bible!  NO ONE TODAY speaks or writes under the INSPIRATION of God regardless of what they think or say.  We can have God's anointing, but we DO NOT speak or write in a way that is as authoritative as the Word of God.

What I am saying is that when someone says that it is okay to do what God has clearly said NOT to do, they are NOT speaking FOR God, but AGAINST Him.  If you are told, for example, that God accepts the abortion of babies or marriage other than that of a man and a woman, you are NOT TO ACCEPT that as being from God, for the Bible clearly states otherwise, so whoever might be claiming to speak on God's behalf should be rejected as a false teacher.

God NEVER contradicts His Word!  What anyone teaches is to be consistent with the DIVINE REVELATION of God, not your personal interpretation of it, nor your denominations understanding of it, and certainly not society's acceptance or approval of it.  There are many today who seem to think that God has changed His mind about a number of things just because society does, but that is DECEPTION!

Just remember this:  By your words you will be justified (declared right with God), and by your words you will be condemned.  If you say what God says...about sin, the Savior, or whatever, your speech will be declared right by God, but if you reject what God says, you will be condemned.

You will be rejected by God because of your rejection of His Word!  To worship God in spirit and truth is to esteem His Word, as He has esteemed it, "above His name".
