Morning Moments

A PERFECTLY BALANCED MAN

Acts 2:22.Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man clearly attested to you by God with powerful deeds, wonders, and miraculous signs that God performed among you through him, just as you yourselves know – 2:23 this man, who was handed over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you executed by nailing him to a cross at the hands of Gentiles. 2:24 But God raised him up, having released him from the pains of death, because it was not possible for him to be held in its power.

This is one of the most amazing verses of the Bible to me because it brings into focus the perfect balance of Jesus deity and humanity. Peter is preaching to Jews from everwhere at Pentecost under the anointing of the Holy Spirit as he calls their attention to a "man" who was a Nazarene (from Nazareth), that God, the very God the Jews had worshipped, from their father, Abraham, who revealed Himself as Jehovah, attested to or approved by signs, wonders and diverse miracles. He says that God performed them THROUGH Him! NOW HEAR THIS! He, Jesus, was a man fully yielded to God and God was pleased with this man! We KNOW He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin, Mary, but He was a man, tempted in all points just as we are, but without sin. God manifest in the flesh - YES, BUT also fully man fully yielded to God to demonstrate to us that man can truly BE FULLY yielded to God even if we do have a fallen nature, by learning to say "NO" to ungodliness and worldly lusts and living sober mindedly, righteously, and godly IN THI PRESET world. THAT is an astounding revelation!

Of course we cannot say we have not sinned or we would make God a liar. Nor can we say we have no sin (nature or principle or propensity) withing us or the truth abouth walking in the light would not be in us, but we CAN and SHOULD walk in the light as He is in the light, living in unbroken fellowship with Him. We may have to break fellowship with others upon certain conditions but can remain in constant fellowship and communion with Him. THAT is the FAITH life, the ABUNDANT life, the EXALTED life, life on the HIGHIST plain, or whatever one might wish to call it. It is the life that PLEASES The Father!

BLESSINGS!
