Psalm 19:5-6 (KJV)
5 Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race.
6 His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof.
The inaudible voice of God’s creation is as a groom that has waited so penitently for the moment when he can take his new bride. It is as one who has trained so diligently and discipline himself for the moment of the gun for the race to start.
This is amazing and beautiful language. The psalmist is using the stirrings of his own heart to paint a glorious picture of the anticipation each new day with its own new beginning and ending.
Do we live in such anticipation as this to face each new day with God? Do we begin the day with glee and end the day with gloom? Do we face the day with dread and end the day with doubt? What if the sun were as reluctant to rise as some of us? These words regarding the consistent and continuing witness of God’s creation should put us to shame.
Every new dawn is designed to demonstrate the grace of our God and the love of our Lord and the strength of the Spirit. May God help us today to be brilliant as the sun and bright as the night for Jesus. May our lives shine and show the gleam and glow of God’s new creation in us.
Look up! Behold the wonder of the Creator and remember that every ray of the sun and every twinkle of the stars bear testimony to the greatness of our God.
BLESSINGS!
