Morning Moments

Genesis 3:5-6 (GW)
5 “God knows that when you eat it your eyes will be opened. You'll be like God, knowing good and evil.”
6 The woman saw that the tree had fruit that was good to eat, nice to look at, and desirable for making someone wise. So she took some of the fruit and ate it. She also gave some to her husband, who was with her, and he ate it.

Can you imagine a world with NO evil? Can you imagine a mind with NO thoughts of hurt, harm, harshness, hatred, or harassment? That is the kind of world God planned for man on this planet. It is the world into which our parents, Adam and Eve came. Both were nude but not naughty. Both were bright but not boastful. Both were sensitive but not sensual. Both were living with no lying.

THEN came that old serpent, the devil, with his enticement and alluring spirit to deceive and destroy. He was beautiful on the outside but beastly on the inside and that is precisely the picture he paints on billboards and back streets. He is a villain and we are his victims. He preys upon humanity design to express the image and likeness of God. He taints and taunts, torments and tantalize, tries and tricks to such an extent that he makes evil appear to be good and good appear to be evil.

He is a master as deception, destruction, and death. He takes a pure heart and pumps pollution into it. He takes a child filled with normal and natural needs for love and acceptance and exposes that child to the garbage of the godless by TV, magazines, pictures of evil that he has presented as pretty.

This is the enemy of our souls that has led preachers into pornography, congressmen into corruption, women into whoredom, sweet children into sexual captivity, and he has done it all by appealing to our desire for "knowledge" without God. He is vicious and vile and vain. He delights in disobedience, disrespect, and debauchery.

BUT GOD shall one day cast him and all his kind into the lake of fire that burns day and night forever and ever; where the worm dies not and the fire is not quenched; where there will be weeping and wailing with no end. He deserves what he will ultimately get for marring the marvel of man.

BUT WE who know and trust and love and serve the LORD JESUS CHRIST will one day soon be completely free of all the evil for all eternity.
