Morning Moments

JESUS FORGIVES SINS
Compare Mt 92-8; Mk 2:1-12; Luk 5:17-25

You are paralyzed and all alone! You have heard tht folks are being healed of al kinds of diseases and delivered from demons, but you have no way to get to te meeting or the Messiah. All seems hopeles, and in your heart you know things could be different for you as they have for so many others, but you are stuck. Suddenly there is a knock on the door, and four men enter - friends who have come not just to tell you about Jesus, but to take you to Him. That is what this study is all about - Consider:

THE PLACE - "Capernaum" Mk 2:1

Jesus had gone from th synagogue to Simon's house, to the seashore, to seclusion. Now he's coming back to town. He went from the crowd to the closet, and from the closet back to the crowd. The man or woman of God can only handle the crisis of the crowd after crying out to God in the closet.

THE PRESSURE - "Scribes" Mt 9:3, Lk 5:17 Mk 2:2

It is an awesome responsibility to ace people you know will face God one day. Heaven, hell, and humanity meet to hear of heckle the man of God proclaim the Good News. That's pressure! Some will respond and receive, but others will reject. Some will revile, but some will respect. But ALL will be held responsible for what has been proclaimed. That's pressure. Jesus was never promised, nor are we, that there would not be pressure. But we are promised that there will be power.

We shall continue tomorrow, God willing.

BLESSINGS!
