Morning Moments

Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Our God is a powerful warrior, champion, chief who is indeed all powerful. He is the Almighty One. Is ANYTHING too hard for the Lord?

Then why do we worry and wonder? Why do we fret and stew? Why do we wring our hands in despair, lack enthusiasm? "Oh" someone says, "we are only human." Don't you get sick of excuses? Doesn't it just make you ill that we are so faithfulness that we just don't believe God can do it? "But" we say glibly, "God can do anything and with Him all things are possible." Yeah, right, then what's your problem with forgiving and loving and giving and sharing and where is the HOPE (abiding confidence) that He is not sleeping or retired but has EVERYTHING under His control. Even the devil himself is subject to HIM!

He alone can suspend the laws of nature! He alone can supernatural intervene in the affairs of man. He alone can show a way where there is no way. He alone can lead His people through the sea dry shod. He alone can feed a multitude with a boy's lunch. This is OUR GOD! God Almighty! The Mighty God!

This is He who came as a lad, offered Himself as a Lamb, and will return as the LION of the tribe of Judah. THIS is He who loves us and is satisfied with nothing but us, so what's the problem?

TRUST HIM - LOVE HIM - OBEY HIM - SERVE HIM with gladness!
