Morning Moments

Acts 16:8 And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God. 9 But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus. 10 And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

Witnessing is not something Paul did…IT WAS WHO HE WAS! It should be that way with us also; not by force, but by friendliness; not because we have attended some class, but because we have been with CHRIST; not because are commanded to, but because we crave to.

Paul was driven. Most of us today are dry. He was compelled. Many of us are comfortable and confused about this whole matter of witnessing. We have been for a long time, so every few years somebody has to come up with a new technique about it and we have to attend a special class about it, practice doing it with each other until we are comfortable with the little memory work. Then we go to strangers we do not know and sweat to talk about their eternal destiny.

We must have a booklet, because the Bible is not enough for most, and we have not stored the Word of God in our hearts that we might, by the Holy Spirit share out of an overflowing life the wonderful mercy and grace of GOD! Is it any wonder we build monuments instead of men.

We either have to have a big rally, a big program, a big church, to substitute for our BIG GOD. The early Church prayed for boldness to witness and God filled them with the Holy Ghost. That should be enough for us to, but we can give SOMEBODY the credit for writing this program. GOD DID IT…IN HIS WORD!

I know many of you don’t like to hear this but IT IS THE TRUTH. Man’s ways are NEVER as good as God’s ways. Now watch this:

Paul goes into a strange town, cast out demons from a possessed girl and she follows Jesus. He sets up a tent making “ministry” beside a couple who also make tents and wins them to Jesus. He is cast into prison and understands that it is no accident, but rather the glorious opportunity to reach prisoners and a jailer’s family for Jesus. He is a prisoner in a hired house he will soon reach those there. If he is taken before a magistrate, he speaks of Jesus. Anyone, anywhere he goes he is a bold BUT NOT BASHING witness for Jesus.

The rich and poor alike listen. The healthy and the hurting hear. The proud and the persecuted – it does not matter who, what, when, where, or how – what matters is WHY! Because he is filled with the Spirit of HIM who sent His only begotten Son, who is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.
THIS is God’s way, so let us too pray for boldness, receive the Spirit’s fullness and walk through the multitudes of doors of opportunity He opens daily for us.

Someone has said, "You can not tell anyone anything you know nothing about anymore than you can come from someplace you have never been." Think on that for awhile.

BLESSINGS!
