Morning Moments

In Paul's first letter to the Corinthians, and in the midst of talking about things that often divide believers, He speaks of a triplet of truth that trumps all gifts. He speaks of faith, hope, and love.

These are extremely important truths because:
1 Without faith we cannot please God.
2 Without hope there is no abiding confidence that Jesus will come again for us.
3 Without love there can be no presence of God without us, for God IS love.

He goes on to say that the greatest (chiefest, largest) of these is love. But why is love the main thing?

1 Because it is the nature of God who does whatever He does with a motivation of love

2 Because it is His love for us that gives us faith which is a gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.

3 Because without His love placed in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, and without His faith that is a gift, there would be no hope for any of us.

Today, with your family, friends, and foes, think about LOVE, God's love offered to us at the expense of His Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.

BLESSINGS!
