Morning Moments

Psalms 33:12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.

Patrick Henry said, “It cannot be emphasized too strongly or too often that this great nation was founded not by religionists, but by Christians, not on religions but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ”.

THAT is our heritage as a nation and THAT alone will sustain us as a nation. I have heard so many people lamenting that we are in the last days and that all these things must happen, but I must ask: Should our response be to sit down and shut up?

Maybe all the martyrs were wrong and maybe the blood of those martyrs is not the seed of the Church. If they were and that statement is true, let's just fold our hands, enjoy the entertainment, applaud the performance and attack the preachers of righteousness - as in NOAH'S day.

Where are the prophets of today? Where are the principles that once demanded purity and loyalty of Christians. Have we sent our young men and women to die for a flag or for the freedom that flay represents. Since when did fear become the order of the day for Christianity? Where is the Church that moves "as a mighty army"?

It seems we have indeed arrived at the place where we prefer sweet illustrations to spiritual illumination. It seems that we are more moved by tear jerking stories than the TRUTH Jesus stood and died for.

Even on this blog, I get more positive response from the tender little moments than the tough lessons moments from the Word of God. As goes the Church, so goes the world, and when the Church loses its salt, it is good for nothing but to be trampled under foot.

Jesus is not a democrat or a republican. He is not a Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Charismatic or whatever. HE IS LORD TO THE GLORY OF GOD THE FATHER, so STAND UP, SPEAK UP, AND FOR GOD'S SAKE GET STIRRED UP FOR JESUS in a day when HE is most resented. Let's do all we can while we can to bring back the blessing of God by confessing and contending that JESUS is Lord of our nation. AMEN!

BLESSINGS.
