Morning Moments

One of the biggest mistakes in the study of Bible Prophecy is the failure to understand that just as God has divided humanity into the saved and the lost; the righteous and the unrighteous; the natural, spiritual, and carnal, etc., He has also divided into the Gentiles, the Jews, and the Church. The Church was a mystery hid in ages past. Consider:

All humanity is either Jew or Gentile but both can be a part of this unique body called The Church through personal faith in Jesus Christ. In Christ there is neither Jew nor Gentile, bond nor free, male nor female, etc, for all are ONE. So if you are not a member in particular of the Body of Christ through the new birth, you remain either a Jew or a Gentile.

The next thing that is imperative for understanding Bible Prophecy is that the covenants and commandments were given not to the Church, which is His Body, but to the nation that came through Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (NOT ESAU NOR ISHMAEL). They are the semetic people to whom were given unconditional promises from God regarding their future return, repentance, and restoration. Paul asks, "Has God cast away His people?" Then he continues by answering his own question with "God Forbid."

Romans chapters 9, 10, and 11 deal with the past, present and future of the Jewish people, Israel. THE CHURCH, WHICH IS THE BODY OF CHRIST IS NOT ISRAEL CONTINUED. If you miss that you will NEVER understand Bible Prophecy.

God has made promises to the Jews that are not for the Church and vice versa. In all of the history of the Jews nationally, through all of their scattering among the nations, and through all their mistreatment in this world, God made promises to them HE WILL KEEP! As a nation, she will look upon Him she pierced and wail because of HIM as she ultimately recognizes that Jesus is HER Messiah. But that is yet future and will come ONLY in the Time of Jacob's Trouble - the Great Tribulation - soon to come.

For now, and for the sake of time and space, GET THIS - The New Testament Church, which is the body over which Christ is the head is not Israel continued. It is a distinct and different assembly with and differnt promises and future.

So our very first consideration is: REPEAT AFTER ME - "Israel is not the New Testament Church and the New Testament Church is not Israel continued."

You can't spell a word without knowing the ABCs, so this is "A".
