Morning Moments

“Demas hath forsaken me, loving this present world more.”

“…If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in Him. All that is in the world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life are not of the Father, but of the world. The world passes away and the lust thereof, but He who DOES the will of God abides forever.”

“For I verily, as absent in body, but present in spirit, have JUDGED already, as though I were present, concerning him that hath done this deed…. I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then you needs go out of the world. BUT now I have written unto you NOT TO KEEP COMPANY if any man that is called a BROTHER be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one NO NOT TO EAT.”

“Be not deceived; God is NOT mocked….”

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders drunkenness, revellings, and such like: and such like: of the which I tell you BEFORE, as I have also told you in time PAST, that they which DO (practice, lifestyle, continue in) such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

ALL of the above is the WORD OF GOD! What is our problem that we refuse to believe it? Has God changed His mind about sin? Did Jesus die for nothing? Where is today’s emphasis on purity and holiness? We are the most tolerant generation of Christians every to live. We call this “loving,” and pat ourselves on the back for being so “accepting.” GOD says, “…Your glorying is NOT GOOD. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?”

Today’s Christianity “judges” nothing, but God says “He that is spiritual judges (by observation, evaluation, and examination) all things, but he himself is judged (condemned) of no man.” “For there is therefore no condemnation to those who are IN Christ Jesus, who WALK NOT after the flesh, but after the SPIRIT.” “They who walk after the flesh shall die, but they who walk after the Spirit shall live.”

“Brethren, if a brother be overtaken in a fault, ye who are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of MEEKNESS considering your own self also lest ye be tempted.” “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is COMMON to man, BUT God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above that ye are able, BUT WILL with the temptation MAKE a way to ESCAPE that ye may be able to BEAR it.”

“Many shall call unto me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not done many mighty things in your name? And I shall say, ‘Depart from me ye that work iniquity, I NEVER knew you.”

“My sheep hear my voice and they follow ME.”

I could go on and quote so many passages that make it perfectly clear that NO one living a LIFESTYLE of sin shall enter the Kingdom of GOD. We do not condemn, but we do correct, confront, and “convert” a broth from the error of his way, save a soul from DEATH, and cover a multitude of sins.” “Reprove, rebuke and exhort with all longsuffering (fruit of the Spirit), and doctrine (The Word of God).” So, if God says it is right, we must say it is right, but if God says it is wrong, we MUST say it is wrong. That is CONFESSING Jesus Christ as LORD.

It is high time for true believers to stand up, speak up, and then shut up. Amen.
I hope this little study helps answer the question. Thank you for asking.

PRAYER: Precious Lord, help us understand that we are in a war, but many are in “sick bay” or “absent without leave” or “deserters.” Teach us that STRAIGHT is the Gate and NARROW is the way to life and FEW there be that find it. Oh Dear God, how like Laodicea we have become: we are rich and increase with goods and have need of nothing, but YOU say we are wretched, miserable, naked and blind. Help us to see that if we stand for nothing, we fall for anything. In the name of our LORD Jesus, teach us purity and holiness of life. BRING us to true revival in these last days.
