A Chilling Predicament - "offer him"

Hannah prayed for a son and when God answered her prayer, she gave her son, Samuel back to God For service. I can understand that! But to receive from the hand of God a miracle son, to enjoy that son for years, to pour your life into teaching him of the wonder and grace of a loving God, and then be called upon by this awesome God to whom you have left everything to follow to walk with him to the altar and take his life in sacrifice to God is a little much - UNLESS your confidence in God was such that deep inside your heart of hearts you KNEW that God not just could, but would raise him from the dead. That is the faith of the Son of God who loved us and gave Himself for us.

Maybe you are facing such a chilling predicament in your life. Maybe your heart is filled with fear of losing what you have loved so dearly. Don't be afraid or apprehensive, just obey the voice of God and let it die that He might raise it to new life.

PRAYER: Father, I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' Name. Love so demanding, so divine, demands MY soul, my life, my all.

Perhaps Abraham remember the dead word that God had touched with resurrection, we don't know but right here in this quiet moment, at the altar of his heart it was a done deal.
