Morning Moments

Micro managing is a dangerous thing!  In the first place, it conveys the idea that no one can do the things that need to be done as well as you.  Secondly, it stifles and ultimately kills the initiative and innovation of others around you.

How unlike Jesus this is!  God made us all unique, and each of us needs the uniqueness of others to keep things in perspective for us.  The Scripture makes it perfectly clear that although we are members of the same body as believers, we are NOT all the same member.  Some are eyes, others are ears, still others are mouths, etc..  Each of us has the responsibility of encouraging others to be what God designed them to be.

The pharisees had a major problem with Jesus because He did not fit their pattern; meet their expectations; fit their mold.  May God help us to love, respect, and appreciate those who do not cross the "t"s and dot the "i"s just the way we do.  After all, God's palette is one of many colors. 

PRAYER:  Father help me today to accept and appreciate those you bring into my life that are not like me.
