Morning Moments

History is replete with accounts of men and women who have had a positive influence upon society.  Some were religious and some were not.  Some made claims of communication with deity and some did not.  But in all the history of the world, only one claimed to be God and attested to it by His Life and Works.  It is This Man alone in whom no one has ever found fault or flaw, for He demonstrated love as only God Himself could love.  To the extenT that He willingly sacrificed His life even for those who would despise Him, deny Him, and denounce Him.  He was God, in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself. 

He came not as a Conqueror, but as a cradled child, yet He has conquered the hearts and lives of untold millions.  He traveled but a few miles in a small part of the world, and yet, the good news He brought has spanned the globe.  He came not as a King and yet He is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  He made of Himself no reputation, yet His reputation known and published in untold volumes.

Had he been an imposter, he could never have remained unexposed for so long.  Had he been a lunatic, he would have been locked up and forgotten.  But He is neither, for He is none other than the Lord God manifest in the flesh.

Let's face it, as we find ourselves in a world which has become antagonized by our "Merry Christmas" and our "Manger Cradle", maybe it is time we rinded them that NOT ONE person, nor ANY group of people has had a more positive impact on the entire world as THIS man, Jesus, had, and NOBODY, not Buddha, Mohammed, nor any other religious leader was every spoken of by his own enemies in terms such as, "I find NO FAULT in THIS MAN", or "SURELY this is the Son of God"!  Maybe it is time to refocus!  Maybe it IS time to look past the tinsel and mistletoe, the tree and the treasures, and look to the TRUTH itself - "FOR UNTO YOU IS BORN THIS DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVID, A SAVIOR, CHRIST THE LORD!"
