Many people just want to argue!

I have discovered through the years that there are far too many Bible Students who do not want honest answers to honest questions about the Bible, they just wish to argue.  It is like the so-called home Bible Studies of some Sunday School classes where we go and simply pool our ignorance with, “Well, I  think the passage is saying this” or “It says this to me” or “I feel like the author means...”  Give me a break!  THIS Book is a Book of Divine REVELATION that came to us by DIVINE INSPIRATION and can only be understand through DIVINE ILLUMINATION and we think we can treat it as we would some common book with no authority and little authenticity. 

We must FIRST meet and get to know the DIVINE AUTHOR, gain some understand of the Penman, the period, the people, the problems, the principles, the perspectives, the poetry, the prophecy, and at the the perspective of the DIVINE BOOK.

We must understand that it was written to two groups of people:  First to the Jew and secondly to the Church, not to the world, although it contains limited information about the world as it relates to the two groups of God’s people, who are IN the world, but NOT of it.

The calling of these people is a high, holy, and heavenly calling and the world knows them not for the world knows Him not.  These people are a peculiar people as recorded in this Book and reported in our world.  Their value system is different and their worldview is different because both are built from their experience with God and His Word and not from philosophy and vain deceit after the traditions of men, the rudiment of this world, and not after Christ.  The difference in them is not merely TALK, but WALK, not merely what they preach but what the teach by how they live.  The difference is not merely in their doctrine, but it their deportment before men and devotion to God and His Word.

When you truly develop a heart for God, not gifts, but for GOD HIMSELF, when you seek Him will all your heart, with clean hands and a pure heart, when you desire His Word more than your daily food ... THEN, as the hart pants after the water brook, so will your hart pant after God and you will begin to see the BIG PICTURE and not merely the PUZZLE!  You will begin to see the hand of God in it all and learn that you can trust His heart even when you can't see His hand.

THAT is my quest!  THAT is my prayer!  For me, but for you also!  HIM!!!! In all His glory, not gifts, but GOD, not merely for insight but for INTIMACY!  Not for knowledge but for WISDOM!  Church can't give you that, but God CAN!
