Morning Moments

JOESPH: Patient in Prison Genesis 41
I. The Pharaoh’s Dreams 41:1-7
II. The Pagan Deceivers 41:8
III. The Prisoner's Deliverance 41:9-13
IV. The Potential Destruction 41:14-36
V. The Plan Director 37-45

So years ahead of time things were working together to place the right people in the right place at the right time for the right purpose. Joseph as an adult had to be the protector of God's people during the famine to come many years down the road from the scene of an excited brother taking supplies to his brothers and sharing an exciting dream with them. But that is how it all works to fulfill the plan of the Director of it all.

The who had been pampered had to be tempered and trained and taught until just the right moment and that took years. Do we think it takes any less for us? How dare we! The Director of The Plan for your life has been working all along whether you have seen it or not. You are not where you are because the plan is over, but because the plan is in play, in process, and progressing as planned by The Director. DO NOT EVER DOUBT THAT!!!!

Now the text: Pharaoh was ecstatic about the interpretation of his dreams, and what ruler wouldn't be with his kingdom saved from starvation to come. Had the good years come without knowledge of the bad, everyone would have assumed that there would be no end to the good years and they would have been devastated when they arrived. It's just another history lesson we have no learned well.

So, Pharaoh recognized Joseph as a man of God and recognized the God of the man, Joseph. He promoted him prisoner to potentate. The point is that it is not what you know but who you know and Joseph knew GOD! He did not have to play politics. He did not have to receive or offer bribes. He did not have to exploit friendships to get where he got, God put him there and there was no question about it. We could learn a lesson from that too.

There was not a man in the kingdom as powerful as Joseph for he held even the Pharaoh's ear...and his heart, so it seemed. But there is another side of this picture and a bit of a strange one at that.

God had a plan He directed in the life of His Son, Jesus who for all practical purposes was metaphorically thrown in a pit and cast into a prison by coming as a man to this sin cursed earth to die for our sins. It was the Father's dream to bring us to Himself through our personal faith in His Son who "became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. wherefore God has highly exalted Him..."

Neither man grumbled about the suffering! Neither man wavered from the Plan! Neither man failed to understand that, "...though you (the brethren, the world) meant it for evil, God, the Father meant it for GOOD! It's the Director's Plan and the plan for man has been, is being, and will be completely fulfilled according to promise.

BLESSINGS!
