Morning Moments

Philippians Devotional Outline continued

[1:13] So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places;

Word spreads fast, "Paul has been imprisoned." It spread through the palace and everywhere else, but little did they know that God had His own in the palace and elsewhere who would become even more emboldened by the news. This was a man who made his mark on the lives of friends and enemies alike. His devotion was so deep, his spirit so sincere, his arguments so convincing, his appeals so persuasive, his love so rare that he could hardly go unnoticed or unheard. Maybe some who sought to capture him wanted to do so simply that they might speak with him.

So in verse 13 we discover -

2. THE MANIFESTATION - "manifest"

What will it take to make your faith know? Right now I am praying earnestly for the life and healing of a young child named Jacob. I do not know him personally, nor do I know his parents. But Jacob fell into an elevator shaft at his home and the floor of the elevator fell on him. He was air flighted to Shriner's Hospital in Atlanta on Christmas Eve. There gave the family no hope but in my heart of hearts I believed God for the recovery of this child and ask the Father to do for this child what He would do for His Own Son - raise him up. Now people around the world are praying for Jacob. Most of us do not know his last name. Most of us do not know of the faith of his parents. They are Christian and they are trusting God for the life and recovery of this three year old child.

My point is this: The MANIFESTATION of this HUMILIATION is now know the world over. Jacob is recovering and I believe will be completely healed. But God has used this "awful" experience to teach us of our "awesome" God.

So you are in a prison, so what? God's not! So you are facing what appears to be one of those humiliating situations in your life, God is equal to the task! There is no place, no problem, and no person that can stop the work of God on behalf of His people. So, rather than wringing your hands in despair, start praising God and rejoicing as Paul did in Prison that the God who allowed him to get there would allow the Message he preached to go out from there...even to Philippi!

BLESSINGS!
