Morning Moments

B.  REQUEST

Paul never ceased to be overwhelmed by the grace of God and the peace that grace brought with it for him. How undeserving he saw himself but how grateful he was. It seemed to never escape him and always exude from him as he writes prayerfully to those he loved so dearly and cared for so naturally.

1.  SATISFACTION - "Grace and Peace"

What can possibly be more satisfying that knowing you are receiving from God what you do not deserve, moment by moment and morning by morning. "It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness (Lam 3:22-23). He withholds from us what we do deserve, gives us what we do not deserve, removes the anxiety and replaces it with an inner tranquility that is incomprehensible and inexpressible that keeps our mind and emotions. WOW!

2. SOURCE - "Father and Son"

"The world didn't give it to me and the world can't take it away." Hallelujah! So why let anyone lick the red off your sucker? Look to Jesus who began and will bring to completion that which He began. The question each of us must ask ourselves is this: Are we RIGHT NOW receiving the grace that brings this peace? If not, why not? It cannot be gained by any effort of our own. It cannot be earned. It is a gift of God that come through faith. That is how everything happens in the abiding life - by grace, through faith. The satisfaction comes in KNOWING the Source. What He has done for one of us, He has done for all of us - blessed us with every spiritual blessing IN Christ, and every spiritual blessing is already mine (and yours if you are in Christ). I do not have to ask for what I have already been given, but merely live in the light of it.

Today, my prayer for each of us is that we live in the light of what we already have in Christ and praise Him for it rather than pleading for something we already posses but are not appropriating. GRACE and PEACE are yours today IN Christ. You will find the SATISFACTION when you find the SOURCE.

BLESSINGS!
