The Fault "Pharisees...why" Mt 12:2; Mk 2:24; Lk6:2
Matt 12:2 (NASU) But when the Pharisees saw [this], they said to Him, "Look, Your disciples do what is not lawful to do on a Sabbath."
The problem here was not what they did, but when they did it. In fact, to get to the bare bones of the issue they had a greater problem with who was doing it. How human that is, but how unlike God it is. Matthew 12:14 lets us know that they were after Him. Anything they could do to trap or trick Him they did, but their attempts always failed (Isa 54:17).
What was true then is true today - our criticism of others is rarely based upon the revelation of God, but rather the expectations of man. Put your rule book away unless your are willing to live by the rules of everyone else. If an action violates God's Word, that's another matter altogether. I'll guarantee you that if you honestly examine the bad feelings you have about others, those bad feelings will most often come from your own personal preferences rather than Biblical convictions.
Don't be an hypocrite - stay with the Revelation of God and be safe. The sad thing about many of us is that we allow our failures to alter our faith. Our deport determines our doctrine, when it should be the other way around. Our beliefs are based on our behavior rather than the Bible.
BLESSINGS!
