Morning Moments

Ecclesiastes 3:1 (HCSB)
1 There is an occasion for everything, and a time for every activity under heaven:

Ecclesiastes 10:17 (HCSB)
17 Blessed are you, land, when your king is a son of nobles and your princes feast at the proper time— for strength and not for drunkenness.

I happen to live in a place where there are 4 distinct seasons. I think life is that way also for most of us. Even when we hear comments like, "My, you never change", it is not true. I fancy myself not in the late fall of my life...not as old but older.

It is my opinion that maturity happens in every season, and that the "season" of pecans is not the season of watermelons, if you get my drift. God knows that in all of my life I have never complained about age or stage and I will not begin now. Each season, each stage is unique and wonderul and we should not want to rush it in or out.

Whatever I know it my life changes, just as the seasons. My hair was brown in my youth, grey in my middle age, white now, and is subject to be gone with chemo, but who cares? I certainly don't.

I remember the old adage of the military, "Yours is not to question why; yours is but to do or die." Complaining about what is because it is not what we wish it were or want it to be, simply adds stress and strain to our lives.

I have no idea who this meditation is for today, other than myself, but I know God placed this on my heart - TODAY, may we grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

BLESSINGS!
