Ps 119:105 - Jehovah's Word is the source of my light and joy.

NUN - Letter 14(2x7)

Stumbling around in the dark can be a hazardous thing to do. By my bed I have a small flashlight to help me not to stumble. Light expels the darkness and shows us the way.

That is what God's Word is for life. As a lamp it shows my next few steps and as a light it makes the direction and also the distractions ahead clear to me. How can we possibly walk God's path without the Word of God?

Ps 119:106

When we marry, we make vows to each other and before God that we will love and cherish, honor and obey, be faithful so long as we both shall live; for better or worse, richer or pooer, in sickness and in health...

UNTIL we discover we are incompatible? NO WAY! Forget that foolishness. We work together to walk together, submitting ourselves one to another our of respect for God who inistituted this blessed relationship.

That is the crux of this verse - "I have sworn, vowed, and I WILL DO what I vowed or promised - keep HIS righteous judgments.

Ps 119:107

I've been shot at, shouted at, scoffed, scolded, scorned, suffered and smitten, but that DOES NOT matter for I am not my own, I was bought with the highest price anyone could ask.

So, If I am to live according to Your Word, I must do it with YOUR life; freedom from the bondage of sin and alive in Christ, who IS my LIFE! If You don't perform this, I cannot live thus.

Ps 119:108

My lips will praise you and nothing can stop that; not family, friend, foreigner, nor foe. As my heart meditates, so my mouth will speak. I offer You the sacrifice of praise, which is the fruit of my lips. It is all I have and all you desire. So, please teach me Your judicial declarations and decrees.

Ps 119:109

I come to You, O LORD with my heart in my hand. My heart is what you desire and deserve, and it is there - right there in my innermost being that I continually remember Your law. Your law O LORD, is the law of love!

Ps 119:110

If thy only knew! If only those who attack me only knew that their attacks, insults, criticisms, contempt, lies and slurs are not against me, but against You because I belong to YOU!

Regardless of the traps laid, I will TRUST YOU LORD!

Ps 119:111

I am not sad, even when I have been had, because the witness that Your Word brings to me is forever and I find constant encouragement there.

Your Word brings a smile to my lips when there is pain in my heart. Your Word lights up my life in such a way that even my enemies recognize that You must be in control.

Don't forget that these are simply the expressions of my heart in my Morning Moments with HIM.
