Morning Moments

HOW TO STAND AMONG SEDUCTIVE DECEIVERS:

BY EXECUTION - GET IT? GOT IT? GOOD! NOW GO GIVE IT! That is Execution.

Ti 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.

Paul is reminding Timothy that the ability to expound and explain sound doctrine did not come to him by education. Oh, how I wish to God we would learn that. Far too many are educated but not anointed. We prefer degrees to devotion. If one is a good administrator these days it doesn't matter if he can preach, he can build a big church by marketing.

Paul recognized that Timothy was gifted of God, and the elders affirmed it by the laying on of hands and setting Timothy apart for service. That is God's way of doing things. First a man must be observed. He must be watched closely so that God's gifts and calling are both demonstrated and observed, perceived and performed.

God does not refuse anyone from service, but he does not gift everyone to pastor. Evangelists aren't pastors and vice versa. A man out of his place is as a bird without a nest. Let spiritual men observe, stir up the gift, and do diligence in study. I always hated to hear someone say, "He's gonna make a good preacher some day." That is bologna! If God has gifted him, he IS a good preacher, with or without an "education" - Timothy didn't have it. I was preaching with the anointing of God from the day I got saved. I got my education, my education "don't got me". Poor grammar but good preaching. Timothy got it - from God, Paul and the elders saw it - demonstrated, and the church grew in grace and wisdom by it.

PLEASE DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND ME. Education is a good thing, but it does not bring the acceptance and anointing of God. It should happen the other way around. The man of God will not have to beg for a place to preach, but he must be willing to preach wherever God leads him to preach, within or without a denomination. If one's bones cry out to preach, preach on the street, on the beach, in a bar, in cracktown. Preach where sinnes are - outside the church until God uses you to build one. Denominations often divide, but Deity ALWAYS unites true believers. I have preached in Pentecostal Holiness churches, Assembly churches, Methodist churches, Presbyterian churches, on the street, on the beach, Baptist churches (Independent, Southern, American and Free Will). Never in 43 years I have ever asked to preach anywhere but if I am invited I will be there by the grace of God. I have preached in Tent meeting where I was the only white man there. I have preached to prostitutes, perverts, and parishoners. WOE be unto me if I preach not. I get sick and tired of preachers without one ounce of spiritual discernment or Bible knowledge thinking their denomination is the only one that is right. THEY ARE ALL WRONG SOMEWHERE!

TIMOTHY - GOD GIFTED YOU, SO GO EXERCISE YOUR GIFT - ANYTIME, ANYWHERE, ANY PLACE! You will answer to God - NOT MAN. You must please GOD - NOT man! Timothy was sent, He went, and stay put. May we do likewise.

Man, that's good preaching:)lol. See? If God can speak through Balaam's ass, He will have no problem with us.

BLESSINGS!

ADDENDUM: GOOD PREACHING DOES NOT NECESSARILY MEAN SHOUTING! Ben Haden was one of the best and I never heard him shout nor read his notes. Len Ravenhill went to Bible College but I am not sure he ever graduated. I don't give a rip how you preach, just study hard, learn the Book, and proclaim it.
