The Altar of Glory - A Place of Resurrection. Read Genesis 22
"And they came to the place which God had told him of and Abraham built and altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood." Consider:
Today we will see the skeleton and we shall add the meat through the week.
1. His Cherished Possession - "thy son"
2. His Chilling Predicament - "offer him"
3. His Calculated Preparation - "took with him...laid him on the altar"
4. His Complete Pursuation - "lifted the knife"
5. His Conviction Praised - "God was able to raise him"
Finally, what about YOUR altar?
1. Your Failure - "without faith it is impossible to please God"
2. Your Frustration - "O God I have tried but I cannot"
3. Your Faith - "it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast"
4. Your Fulness - "be ye being filled with the Spirit"
PRAYER: Oh Loving Lord draw us to the place that we reckon the flesh dead, but the spirit alive and being conformed to the image of Your Son.
