MALACHI
Chapters 1-4
Imagine coming home to a desolate land and a destroyed city and temple. That was precisely what the Jews who returned from the Babylonian Captivity found. It was as if they had to begin all over again by rebuilding and restoring all that they had previously known. In the course of events and in labor of a lifetime, many of them became weary in well doing and became indifferent and indulgent as they began to lose hope of the promised Kingdom and it's King. Malachi rebukes, reaffirms, and seeks to reestablish the hope once again in the promises and presence of Israel's God.
Burdened 1:1 - Malachi
Baffled 1:2-4:3 - israel
Blessed 4:4-6 - Elijah
it has been a long time since the resurrected Lord Jesus ascended into Heaven leaving us the promise of His return. Many of us have, as they, have become weary in well doing, wonder when. But we must not lose hope or faint, for in such an hour as you think not, the Lord comets! He is not slack concerning His promise, but is long suffering to us, and we must not cast away our confidence, for He shall appear, the second time to all who love His appearing!
BLESSING!
