Morning Moments

MICAH
Chapters 1-7
“Who is like Jehovah?” is believed to be the meaning of the Prophet’s name.  A simple villager, according to Unger, he was a “prophet of social righteousness”, who “defended the cause of the poverty-stricken masses”.  He prophecy was for all Israel, but specifically of the conquer of the Norther Kingdom, the “taking of Samaria, and the “desolation of Judah”.
The Prophet and the Period 1:1
The Problem and the Prediction 1:2-2:13
The Promise and the Pardon 2:14-7:20
The clear message of this book is that the God who corrects and chastens His people is also the God who cleanses and changes His people.  May we never forget that!  John declared, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Repentance and confession are indicators that we have truly become God’s children!

BLESSINGS!
