Morning Moments

AMOS
Chapters 1-9

This Bible Book gives great insight into the corruption that often comes from prosperity, idolatry, and immorality.  It is so relevant that it speaks of the songs of the temple being “howlings” in “that day” (Amos 8:3).  It sounds like what goes on in some of our “contemporary” services.
The Introduction 1:1-2
The Indictments
   Against Syria 1:3-5
   Against Philistia 1:6-8
   Against Phoenicia 1:9-10
   Against Edom 1:11-12

   Against Moab 2:1-3
   Against Judah (Southern Kingdom) 2:4-5
   Against Israel (Northern Kingdom) 2:6-14
The Insights - Visions 7:1-9:10
   Locust Plague 7:1-3
   Devouring Fire 7:4-6
   Plumb Line 7:7-9
      The Threat 7:10-13
      The Truth 7:14-17
   Summer Fruit 8:1-14
   The Altar 9:1-10
The Increase - Restoration 9:11-15
If we were to study the Scriptures with our hearts and not JUST our heads, we could learn a great deal more about God and worship than what we know and understand today.  He DOES NOT accept everything!

BLESSINGS!
