DANIEL

Chapters 1-12

The Book of Daniel is perhaps the most important book in the Bible for a clear understanding of the Book of Revelation, for it alone marks the time specifically of the Seventieth Week or the seven years we know as the Tribulation Period just prior to the return of the Sacrificed Savior as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords!  The actual period of Great Tribulation for the nation of Israel is in the final three and a half years of that period, but the entire period is seven years.

We explain this in detail in our notes on Revelation, previously considered in detailed in our Morning Moments.  This is a Book of History and Prophecy!

We will not spend time and space dealing with non-sensical debates over the authorship, for God is the Author through Daniel, the Prophet -

Daniel - The Prophet - 1:1-21

Dreams - Nebuchadnezzar - 2:1-4:37

Destruction - Belshazzar - 5:1-31

Decree - Darius the Mede - 6:1-28

Dominion - World Powers - 7:1-28

Devastation - Deceitful and Diabolical 8:1-12:13.

This is the Plan of God for Gentile Rule and Jewish Restoration.  This is not prophecy concerning the Church, which was a mystery, but this entire prophecy concerns Israel and the Gentile nations relating to Israel.  One MUST understand this Book to understand Revelation.
