Morning Moments

LAMENTATIONS
Chapters 1-5
God’s people have so forsaken their God and their worship of Him that He has no other choice than to turn them over to the enemy they have come to embrace.
It is a sad indictment on the people of God in any generation that they are “conformed to this world” and not remaining “separate”. (2 Cor 6:14) Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (15) And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? (16) And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.”

Jerusalem’s Crushing 1:1-2:22
Jeremiah's Confidence 3:1-66
Judgment’s Cause 4:1-22
Jeremiah's Cry 5:1-22
God’s people are ALWAYS to be a peculiar people zealous of good works.  The more like the world we become, the less effective we become in our effort to reach the world.
Perhaps the greatest danger of our day is the attempt of the “church” to be so much like the world in organization, music, ministry, in an attempt to make the world love us when Jesus said it would hate us.

"Be vigilant because your adversary the devil walketh about as a loaning lion seeking whom he may devour."

BLESSINGS!
